Quote from: dedndavei am thinking of inventing an adjustable hanger to suspend my TV from the ceiling
that way, i can place it as close to my face as possible when i sit back in my chair   :P

I suspect someone already has that. You could always just use a helmet, or mount the monitor to your chair.

It could be a random act of randomness. Those happen a lot as well.

I have a good friend that has his PC set up in his living room attached to his big 52 inch wide screen Sony TV and he sits there and does all his surfing. When I have to visit him to do something on his machine I get a sore neck because you have to move your head around so much to view things. :bg

i like the easy chair
all it needs is a flush handle on one side and an icebox on the other - lol

yah - a big TV is a bit much
i know some gamers have that - and, like, a bose sound system - "surround-porn"   :lol
that is over-doing things, if you ask me

As monitors get bigger I will use them. DVD resolution is borderline on HDMI but it still looks OK most of the time but I will happily go to a 6 foot screen hung on the wall if they ever become available. At the moment I use a 24 inch screen viewed from about 40 inches which works fine.

DAVE !!!
Try this:
Instruct Zara to stand in the middle of the room,...naked,...
...If she still looks fabulous,...I'd say,...Life is good,...no problem,...
Otherwise,...send over to my house,...I'm almost blind,...but, I can sense babes in infrared,...
I'll get back to you with the results of my thought experiment,... :eek

...On a more serious note: is assembly programming making us all blind ???

What with all the news going around these days, perhaps not being able to read the text is a GOOD thing. News is mostly war, death, and worst of all gossip about spoiled stars,or worse still about people famous for being famous... :boohoo:

dedndave

i saw that post, baltoro - lol

that job is already taken
and she doesn't like it when others try to take over
ever been bitched out in Brummy ?

i'll give you some pointers

1) don't try to speak - or understand - just wait for the pauses
these are indicators that you are to respond

2) if the intonation rises at the end of the sentance, shake your head "no"

3) if the intonation lowers at the end of the sentance, nod your head "yes"

4) it doesn't always work

DAVE !!!
This is such a relief,...
I'm so glad that I'm not married to one of the top ten most gorgeous women on the planet,...
