A New Testbed for MASM32 Forum

Hi all guys.

I've been thinking about this project for a couple of months.
Maybe now I've quite enough knowledge to realize it.

Before embarking into this trip, I'd like to ask your opinion,
suggestions, and availability to help if needed to code a new testbed
with a more friendly interface, with the possibility to relaunch the test,
visualizing info inside a grid with:

Algorithm notes  |   Proc size  |  CPU cycles

for about 10 different algos with two sections for first and second test
on two separate side by side grids, other than:
CPU type / Windows version / any other useful info.

Let me know what do you think about it.

Here I post the first draft of the screen in which the algos
are tested and measured.

It is a prototype in basic, before going into MASM I'd like to see
what would you like to change.

Of course the screen can be done any suitable size, combination of colors,
quantity of info displayed, type of data formatting and so on.

I just need to know if it has to be a simple exercise in MASM32 coding
for me, and it'll be fine anyway, or if you think it can also be useful for
the forum where a lot of tests are performed all over the year.

Let me know your opinion.

I'll enjoy coding it either cases.

Frank, if you make this is simple for addition and supporting of algos - this is nice app (i.e. - testbed)!
You can rewrite it from PB, indeed.

Yes, this is also what I like, I'll change it and post the new colored version.

These colors are more eye-friendly :-)

Well, in this version the program also create a file that contains the screen as well,
it is not needed for the coming work, I used it just to change the attributes.

Doesn't matter, I'll get rid of it along the way.

This is only a temporary experimentation, I hope the final version will be
much better looking than this one, and maybe it could be better to give
the possibility to change the colors of the screen to the user, in order to
match their personal tastes.

I have many DOS apps which have similar color scheme in "GUI".

There is something that I don't like in the actual look, I'll try
until I get a version that satisfies my taste. :-)

One thing only - the gray background of title of table, and black teXt of title - it looks as DOS (black-and-white).
But in other things this have my taste also :)
