Cannot create temp file????

I tried to run a program in masm that i was working on that was working and now whe I rebuild all i get this
Cannot create temporary file
C:\masm611\INIT\CURRENT.$
No such file or directory

I tried older programs that i know worked and get the same message.
Then i tried to just run the porgram under run then execute i get the same message then if i press ok it says file has chaned save changes if i hit no it runs
But i cannot use debug now
Any ideas
