We have very clear rules about any illegal activity which the occasional new member seem to misunderstand or don't even bother to read. While this forum protects the identity data of its members, it will not protect anyone who tries any of this crap in here and to make the point I will  give anyone up to any security agency if they try it.

With an 'autocratic' network system, it's good to balance it with hackers (believe it or not) - otherwise we'll get a runaway system trying to control every aspect of your life - 'Nazi' rule.
Besides shaking people out of misplaced complacency, hackers also set the challenge for houses like MS to actually do something about their promises that they make in their OS's, and for others to beaf up their security, which has economic benefits for companies that make useless anti-virus stuff (AVG.. etc), and other sectors.

It's like religion.. Some will use the system to further their 'evil' means... making it illegal sets higher stakes and some thrive on that challenge.. It certainly won't stop it.
Maybe hacking has revealed to much to corrupt politicians to handle....

It think the trick would be to trap the hackers and then employ them to make your systems safer... throwing them in jail just makes it worse..
