hutch--

Don't even think of trying this sh*t in here.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/hackers-to-face-two-years-in-jail-under-new-rules-proposed-by-eu-7594778.html

We have very clear rules about any illegal activity which the occasional new member seem to misunderstand or don't even bother to read. While this forum protects the identity data of its members, it will not protect anyone who tries any of this crap in here and to make the point I will  give anyone up to any security agency if they try it.

Then again, you have retards like McKinnon, and a UK government that can't tell the US that it's jurisdiction ends at it's own borders.
It could be a random act of randomness. Those happen a lot as well.

Internet crimes are not good for anyone, but one of these days any internet connection will become illegal under some new law from US.

With an 'autocratic' network system, it's good to balance it with hackers (believe it or not) - otherwise we'll get a runaway system trying to control every aspect of your life - 'Nazi' rule.
Besides shaking people out of misplaced complacency, hackers also set the challenge for houses like MS to actually do something about their promises that they make in their OS's, and for others to beaf up their security, which has economic benefits for companies that make useless anti-virus stuff (AVG.. etc), and other sectors.

It's like religion.. Some will use the system to further their 'evil' means... making it illegal sets higher stakes and some thrive on that challenge.. It certainly won't stop it.
Maybe hacking has revealed to much to corrupt politicians to handle....

It think the trick would be to trap the hackers and then employ them to make your systems safer... throwing them in jail just makes it worse..

Hmmm... if this gets to the US, Bill Gates will be a very poor man indeed  :bg

Computer related crimes can get you up to 20 years in prison here in the states.

Many of the offenses where the culprit is arrested are young and we all know what happens to the young when they are sent to prison here in the US (bend over sweetie!). :bg

Cheney and Bush (not to mention the Trump Family) wouldn't like their secrets known for a long time.... :green2

As you know our local gov (ANC, nogal) tried to muffle the press.... something like muffling the INet
But that sort of quickly crashed, according to our so called Freedom of Expression..
Maybe this is holding up better than the 'Free World'.. for some unexplained reason.  :wink
I cannot think how a 3rd world can even compete with 1st world in any respect....

Makes you think...  :U
