now, if they can charge the battery with the nutrients, i might be a little bit impressed

As far as I understand it ,it processes the material into electricity..BUT it must eat every 5 minutes to maintain enough energy to move,and perhaps the dump tsakes the 5 minutes? This would be a good technology if they could make it much more efficent,and made it a LARGE stationary unit to dispose of all our organic garbage,and produce electricity.

yah - it's way too large to be efficient
you'd waste any battery energy obtained by moving the thing to the back patio for a poo - lol
at least a puppy will love you   :P
