I Don't know if you recall this old dos program. I downloaded it again today and ran it in dosbox.  :lol

I have been puzzling with lego bricks all my life. I know how to do this. When Peter, at age 6 is competing with me, I find it extremely neccessary to show him that I can puzzle bricks better than him, because he is so damn talented that all that is called rational has gone haywire.

dedndave

yes - that was one of the first computer "games", if you want to classify it as a game
you should try "Adventure"

there are several links in this thread...

Heh, yes I remember 'playing' Eliza back on the commodore 64 (yes, I'm that old!). Looking at the conversation you posted it would seem you are getting exactly the kind of answers you would expect from a licenced therapist, only SO much cheaper. Add speech synthesis and a couch and it will probably be just like the real thing.

zemtex...

there is a lot to that game
inside the cave, you will find 15 treasures
for most of them, you have to overcome some sort of obstacle
if you get all 15 back to the well-house, you can get to the "end-game" and win

i will give you a couple magic words...

I don't why people bother with therapists.. Watching Dr. Phil makes me cringe...

Maybe some people cannot think for themselves, and want to pay some wide-eyed person with a certificate stuck to his wall, lots of money, to tell them what they already know.

You should see a therapist about that :D

Maybe I'm too critical/synical.
Our wedding photographer was studying part-time to be a 'psychologist' and about 2 years later, we went to get the original prints.
He sat us down in his 'home therapy' room ('Certificate' stuck on the wall behind him) to discuss why he should keep the prints as a 'professional' photographer.

My first thought... 'I'm dealing with an idiot', my second thought 'No.. we want the original negatives. We didn't come here for 'games'.. '
We walked out with the negatives after money passed hands, as proposed.
I think he thought he was a 'smooth operator' - he just didn't realise who he was dealing with, in both of us... :P

Hi! I'm Eliza. I am your personal photography computer.
Please tell me your problem.

I want my fricken negatives!!!
There is no use in being rude. What did you want to do with the negatives?

It took a while to find a copy of the Eliza program but it doesn't seem to work for me. All I get is this then I have to re-install it every time...

FUNNY.   especially,...

This kind of thing happens to me constantly. You need a 'neuralizer' (remember that cool flashy device from Men In Black ???)
Why haven't they commercialized that yet. Clearly, there is a need. If I had one, I'd attach it to the Large Hadron Collider.
Probably, illegal,...but, very satisfying.
