Midi volume problem

I have a volume problem when playing short midi messages. The volume works okay in my own program. My problem is that just when the midi plays a few tones the volume of other programs in the background goes down, it fades down and when my midi is finished playing it slowly goes back up again to normal.

What can I do to remove this problem?
