hey guys

this one's a bit of an exotic question: do you guys know what would be a good way to get the computer to "say out" a sentence, or a list of tokens or something similar (i.e. the form of input isn't THAT important) using the windows built-in speech engine? i'm looking for an effect similar to what you can do in vbscript in a word document or so, how you can get a little avatar to jump up and say stuff... but the thing is, i don't want the avatar (besides it being ridiculously slow-loading, i actually don't want the avatar there).... is it possible with just normal WinAPI functions?

thanks,

h
