This will allow you to modify various properties for file extensions. 

- Added edit DDE info NEW   :bg
- Added extension count - Total/custom/user defined NEW    :bg
- Added Admin Mode - Do everything normal mode does, but to system wide extesnions NEW  :bg

- Create new extension
- Change icon for extension
- Change description
- Change perceived type
- Change MIME content type
- Change default program used to open extension
- Edit command line args to pass to program to open extension
- Compares extensions - Shows what extensions were added or deleted (good to see what an install adds or deletes)
- Shows user modified and user created extensions now
- Search for an extension
- Delete extension

BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE USING ADMIN MODE  it is not fully tested...

Nice little program Gunner. I'm always fiddling with file types and associations. Now it needs to handle multiple associations, deal with verbs like open, edit etc.

Thank you.  I too am always fiddling with that stuff and didn't like: manually editing the registry; explorers extension dialogs and no programs out there did what I wanted.

The multiple associations and verbs will be added in the future.

I'm using Creativelement Powertools. It's a swiss knife program.  One of the many functions is 100% file type control. It supports all windows versions.

You could use it to check the registry changes it does.

Took a look at that and it doesn't show the info correctly for some extensions...

- Delete user created extension - NEW 
- Delete user customized extension and restore to default values - NEW 
- Add/Delete programs to Explorers Open With list - NEW (GFTE exclusive I think)   (will add option for admin to modify system wide list)
