Forum quirk

I thought I would try to reduce the size of the forum homepage so I could see at a glance the most recent post, so I closed all of the sub-forums.
The whole page now fits, but because all are closed, this is the most recent topic:

View the 10 most recent posts on the forum. "" is the most recently updated topic ()

Open one subforum and it will show you the most recent post in that subforum only.
Bug or feature? Not that I am worried, but it's interesting to me at the moment...yes, I am bored  :bg

i wanted something similar
but - what i did was i bookmarked "Recent Posts"

one real quirk is PM's
if you log in, then close the browser without logging out, you may miss the new PM alerts
you have to check them "manually"

Well, sad to say, one of my many homepages is '?action=unread'...

But this seems to affect only the forum home.
