QuoteFORTRANS? Why the 'S'

Well, you (the forum) already had a "cobold" and I pretended
he was named Dave or Don.  So I just carried on the tradition.  ;-)

You are all very fine people and I feel I know you all a little better now. Bill Cravener? Now, that one surprised me. Many times, I wondered where you went. I am probably the only idiot on this board who did not know that. I knew there was a reason why I liked you! You used to post more code in the olden days though.

Over here, we were told you guys took 'walk abouts.' Did I say that correctly? Here in America, we are raising generation after generation of kids who do nothing but sit in front of the boob tube. It saddens me. Just as a point of interest, before I became crippled I used to do something called 'wolf trotting.' I learned how from an old Passamaquoddy Indian. You run for a bit and then walk for a bit, etc. Using this method, I would do 15 miles a day and not even feel winded.

Is a walkabout a rite of passage? Somehow, somewhere, I got that impression.

You sir are no idiot and I am fortunate to know someone of your caliber! I do not do much assembly these days though I still get great pleasure creating the occasional asm toy now an then.  :bg

Hi everyone,

Over the years I have changed a lot and so has my looks. Some say I look nothing like I used to. Another more recent change is the growth on my right arm.

Carol and I plan to get married on the 20th of January.

Its funny how I think that people look like their avatar, eg vortex and tedd look like a teddy bear, Paul like a clown, James Ladd like a bulldog etc etc. I know that hutch looks more like Beethoven rather than a lion figure, and that I don't look like a frog, I hope!

Chris
I dont have uploaded a custom animated one, made to fit in the masmtheme, but I cant have such a big flashy avatar in a technical forum
in the background I have created a 3d masmbox with realistic masmbox front pic, in front of it lies a open book, that is suppose to be A&A but I failed to get texture right with lots screenshot from A&A text so it is instead grey, the letters MASM OOP falls down on the book and start to randomly bounce around controlled by a physics emulation

it reflects my coding and Cg is two interests that goes into each other, most coding is some Cg snippet or new ways to make it go faster like parallel SSE code

Paul,
  Congratulations........ & best wishes  :U

ChrisLeslie, like your avtar

daydreamer,

That sounds pretty cool. If you do not want to use it as an avatar, you could probably use it in a credit box of one of your programs. You could probably make 'masm oop' morph into your name. If you are unsure how to animate a picture in a credit box, look at the attached program. Instead of using an animated gif, it uses a series of bitmaps. Can't remember who did it, though.

Believe it or not, I had a feeling it was you. You gotta start putting some comments with your name in this stuff! I will fix that one accordingly.

Bill,
As a matter of course, while browsing, if I encounter something that looks interesting to me or may be useful to others, I download it and store it in my archives (which have become huge). Then, if I see someone needs something, I just attach it. I never claim credit for it and if I forget to write in the author's name which has happened a lot as I may not even explore it for months, if at all, I do not know who to credit and it may not bother you but it does me.

I should do a better job of archiving, I know, but I always seem so busy. BTW, that IS a very cool program.

thanks Paul, what is more fitting me is put in my SSE snippet that makes an animation of two circles 3dprojected, rotated etc
please if you have more Cg ideas like that morph to my name, just tell me and it is possible I make them real, as I also Make Cg animation etc these days

daydreamer,
Well, if it is a project you are looking for, download my editor from the GeneSys subforum. In the About The Editor dialog is a photo of myself, it used to be the jester. What if the jester was to morph into my photo?

much work todo a serious morph, I can see what I can do

PBrennick

daydreamer,
Only do it if you feel it is a fun thing to do. I could do it myself but I am stretched to thin right now and it is not anything I feel a real need for.
