Virus reported...

Hi, I picked up masm v9 a few weeks ago. I am receiving a virus report from virus hunter of infection  with trojan.cz...Any other reports of this ??

Hi Jimmo,

Welcome on board. You can be assured that the masm32 project is virus free but some heuristic scanners pick up on some files mainly due to their size but also occasionally if they are compressed.

False positives are reasonably common and it usually has to do with the quality of heuristic scanning. Its worth trying a number of different AV products offered as trial versions as you get multiple cross reference by doing it this way.

Let us know what file triggered the AV false positive.

it was icztutes:tutes2 and 3

I was fooling around doing a dialogue box display...

It probably is a false positive...thanks for the info...if anything really serious pops up I'll post...
