worth mentioning that without using a driver or having access to the \\physicalmemory stuff you'll find some information in the smbios tables
is 'hidden', microsoft alter some of the information when it is retrieved via wmi or walking the \\physicalmemory (or even from the EnumSystemFirmwareTables() family of api's)
the reason for this is so that the information can not be used for drm purposes (although, some of the information like the mainboard manufacturer etc is available).
