I found it!
By experimenting, I found that if you set
browser.tabs.closeButtons to 3, you get the old way back.  I have no idea what else this affects.

I don't have the time to study all the customization possibilities in FF but, ain't it cool.  Ultimately configurable.  In the address bar type about:config for all the current possibilities.

Another cool thing is XUL, a user interface language between FF and the web.

Tedd,
Thanks for the heads up, but I give up.

That's odd, FF didn't pop up a box saying "Yo, version 2.0 is out, grab it fool!" :wink

Workin good, likin' the new look... :)

Seems I can't open .ZIP files without saving them first, looking into how to change that.

I suggest you guys to try out a brand new browser "safari". I know it's buggy, some want it to be buggy... But this one has amazingly clear font, is neat & clean, with minimalistic UI & powerfull... And it's from Apple!

Safari is not new.  Been around for years on the Mac.  It is new for Windows but it's a beta right now.  This browser, along with Firefox, Opera, K-Meleon and Konqueror are far more advanced than Internet Explorer.
