Freakin holidays

Thing about holidays is that when something goe wrong there's nobody around to fix it. The internet went out about an hour ago and I phoned my service provider only to find out that there's no-one to take care of the problem until tomorrow. So for now I'm on my laptop which i connected through my mobile services, sucks because now I have to watch my usage, I only pay for 1GB per month with this service and its pretty impressive how fast it can pile up, nearly 1MB just to log on and check this page. Luckily I haven't used the connection this month so I have nearly the full GB left until they get this fixed.

Oh they have someone on call but they're booked for the day and they open tomorrow anyway so... Anyway the only annoying part is that for the mobile connection to work the home wireless has to be disconected or the mobile connection doesn't work so I have to drop the local network every time I sign on. Not a huge thing but it means I don't have access to a lot of data. I just finished about 4 days of shuffling files on my systems to centralize much of the data on the 1TB drive of my main desktop, nearly 600 GB of data in total. Means there's not much to do on the laptop when I'm connected to the internet and since my mobile data connection only works on the "keyed" laptop (my choice). Oh well, its only a day and its not like I'm completely disconnected, I still have a lot of available data volume and the connection is high speed, could be worse.

Have the same problem.. Net's been out 2x now, so I just shutdown and 'play' on my laptop.
