once in a while, i need to view a hive from a non-system disk
i found a tool for it from Michal Mutl

i was poking around on this guys site, and noticed that he seems to be the Czech version of Mark Russinovich   :P
he has some great tools and a number of other goodies to play with

I downloaded a few - and ran the hexedit one - seemed fine - no av triggered.

i have used the reg file viewer with no problems
the guy looks pretty pro to me
he writes for a security company, not that that's a guarantee or anything   :P
