Good to hear the Vista problem is mostly solved, however I am still puzzled as to why I could not load an image from shell32.dll, for a control that I found lets say "less than useful" and had decided to abandon it has caught my interest because of the bugs and not the operation :). I should also note that while I was debugging the control I also made a few changes that should allow it to run under Windows 9x, at least it runs OK on my 98SE VPC, that one has pretty much the minimum install with no upgrades (I keep it that way on purpose). In the new (hopefully final for me) version I uploaded to the first post in the thread I have also set the WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW style so a taskbar button is not displayed when the menu drop down appears.
