Virtual ISO drive from Microsoft

Handy Utility:  One draw back is it's XP only.  But don't see any reason why it would not work for W2K.  But have not tried it yet.

There were two possibilies: burning the ISO images to a CD-ROM or using a virtual CD-ROM drive that can mount ISO images.  And apparently Microsoft has an unsupported software for this.   The reason why it's unsupported became clear after downloading the product. It contains no setup (only instructions) and the interface is quite basic. But the software did its job very well.

This tool is even not searchable through the "Microsoft Download Center", but it is mentioned on the MSDN Subscribers FAQ.

The Microsoft version runs fine on my win2000 sp4 I already have an app calld UltraIso that will open an ISO image but this one seems to work fine as well.
