invoke CreateCaret

Hi does any body has an example of CreateCaret.... I have one that puts a smile face , but it wont blink, and there is a set timer in there

The  example that I have been working off
is called smile_caret.rar

I want a blinking underscore .......

Does anybody have an example ?

Here is what I have done so far ...

And I still can not get it to blink .... I have tried to add WM_PAINT and switch  WM_TIMER around but that crashed my app
