how to open masm in VS2010

hi guys.
          I followed the Irvine instruction , changes the settings and download his file from http://kipirvine.com/asm/gettingStartedVS2010/index.htm. I had put Irvine folder in my C:. whenever i open the example project from his folder it open and run but when i try to open new project in text file and save it to .asm it doesn't run. the message something like path to the folder  something like that come out.
           can anyone knows how to open masm in vs2010. please help me out. i will really appreciated.
