Too funny!

"Conservatives offended by "Avatar" can stay home and watch something that conforms better to their political views -- say, "24" on the Fox network, which glorifies the torture of terrorist detainees."

reading the plot summary on imdb, it reminds me of the plot to "Total Recall" - lol
of course, imdb isn't going to say much about political bias   :P
it might hurt their pocket-book, in spite of the fact that this kind of controversy often helps at the box-office
a well-liked lead for a hero and lot's of hot chix always helps, too

Haven't seen it yet Steve I plan to. I just find it hilarious what godly conservatives complain about these days. :lol

I went and saw the 3D version, I thought it was great. I thought it had a good message too.

Bill Cravener

Greg, I haven't seen a 3D flic in some 30-35 years. I remember getting a headache though from watching the movie with those cheap plastic glasses. Have they improved on that technology. I'd like to see the 3D version but I don't care much for eye strain. I get more then my share of eye strain starring at computer screens.

it does sound like a movie i would like
i doubt i will see it in 3D, though - i rarely go "out" to the movies
i usually wait for it to come out on DVD - the popcorn is much more affordable   :P

Hi.

I saw "Up!" in 3D without eyestrain.  The glasses/whatever
have improved, I used to get a headache from the movies
~35 years back.  Except for a few scenes, it did not add
much as my depth perception is about 25% of normal.
But some scenes were neat in 3D.

YMMV,

Bill,

The glasses are no longer the red and blue ones. With these each lens is a different polarization. I get eyestrain easily myself and this didn't bother me, it was very enjoyable.

i got those 'free' when i went to see avatar 2 days ago. the storyline is not the main selling point as much as the graphics. i think it was worth seeing ; )
