FFFFFFFF must be the right value, as it is used for the transparent colour
FFFF is a valid colour - bright yellow

When GetBkColor and similar functions fail they return CLR_INVALID. So if I pass GetBkColor an invalid DC, it returns FFFFFFFFh.
