Ok, so lets see some real-world benchmark results then Google.

On a typical consumer PC, which is clogged full of spyware and junk, BOTH are going to run slow and buggy.

BTW, "Chrome" isn't a very good name for a browser. Chromium is a hard metallic element, usually thinly electroplated over copper for aesthetic lustre. (Read: it's glitzy boiler-plate... literally.) Seriously though, I wouldn't be in a rush to switch to Chrome. Sounds like Google has a vested interest in integrating their content (the internet ala carté) into your PC -- and that is scary on so many levels.

If it's what optimized mean, then what Google have to said about browsers has no relevance. It is market competition and nothing more.
