Title: Best resouces for learning about opcode building?

I have some old Intel and AMD pdfs.  Anyone know where I can get the latest info, or more in depthe info on how opcode are made?

You can find all  intel manuals here (http://www.intel.com/products/processor/manuals/). Volume 1 will be most helpful, I think.
Using google you can find AMD's web page. They have some manuals, too.
I would say that there should be most recent infos...

I'd rather say the volumes 2A and 2B are the most interesting to him, because it contains an instruction reference.

Amd documentation can be found here (http://developer.amd.com/documentation.jsp). Volumes 3, 4 and 5 contain a list of instructions.
