Title: Help finding a file
Post by: JEBOman on December 19, 2006, 09:14:04 PM
I have been looking for a few days now but I can not find win32.hlp...
I can find some versions of it but they are all really old versions and all. Could someone please give me the direction to a recent version of win32.hlp. Thank so much in advanced.

February 1996 - Microsoft announced plans to stop development of WinHelp and start development on HTML Help

This means that Microsoft is no longer publishing things in *.hlp format. Now PSDK is replacement.

God knows good luck finding anything at all that is recent and documents the windows API. The MSDN library seems to be getting less and less helpful in regards to finding anything related to the API, and the "offline" version is far too integrated into the OS to be taken anywhere on a USB key etc.

Sorry for the bad news, Ehtyar.
