Title: Do we need a 64 bit subforum ?
Post by: hutch-- on April 14, 2006, 09:30:41 PM
I have been asked by a number of people about a 64 bit subforum and need to get some idea of how many people are writing 64 bit code. The tools I have seen so far are ml64, poasm and I gather there are 64 bit versions of nasm and yasm.

Hi Steve,
I think the question about "how many people are writing 64bit code" would be more answered if it sounds like ::how many people would like to write 64bit code::. We always start from something so it would be the good start to write a 64bit code for many people including me:)
Regards,
Igor.

How many members have 64-bit hardware?

I have opened a suhforum for 64 bit code and questions. You may not get an answer as there are not many people who own the hardware yet or write 64 bit code but you can at least post the question.  :bg

Thanks, Steve! :U

And guys, don't forget you don't need 64-bit hardware if you want to play with ML64. If I am not wrong, there are both win32 and win64 versions of ML64, so one can learn some basics at least.

We also need a 64bit patch for MASM, programming in 64bits is a little harder...
