Title: "Could not create folder" problem
Post by: Bora on January 05, 2006, 05:25:14 PM
Hi all   :P  I have a problem while creating a project. I downloaded the ide and programming pack and add masm in programming languages menu. And then try to open a new project but the error says " could not create the folder " . i had that error years ago and solve this but not remember now.

And after error i press back button and the fonts becomes bold in new project dialog box.

Today i formated my pc for a reason and then try RadASM but continues not working.Cause i have some viruses before. I want to know if i have to unzip the files to a specified folder or need anything more than i downloaded. Thanks.

Hello,

I tried to reproduce your error and the only case is when you choose a project name that already exist ! :naughty:
(And fonts are bold after that...)

Best regards.

I write whatever in projectname but allways says could not create folder,on the other hand there is not a project in folder,i could not use the editor yet. :(   Now i am using qeditor but it hasn't a syntax highlighting feature. I will try RadASM at another comp in the evening, and hope it works.

Hi, Bora...you said

I presume you mean you have not actually used RadASM yet. Let me reassure (request?) you not to give up yet...RadASM is truly great. Lets just hope the directory problem is solved soon

Can you open an existing project ? (MASM, GoAsm or another...)
Ensure that the "Projets Folder" (Wizard for create)  is valid.
Ensure that the "Option"/"Set Paths" are all valids.
Are you under windows XP ?
Have you downloaded the langage pack ? Do you have the "Langage" directory with at least one LNG file ?
I search but it is very strange...
