Title: Sample how to program SB16 DSP (16bit)
Post by: Gustav on December 10, 2005, 10:24:51 PM

Hello,

I'm currently playing with soundblaster programming (DSP) on the register level and found some source samples, which are about 10 years old. Nevertheless, the 8bit samples work quite well, but I have problems with the samples using 16bit resolution and/or using 16bit DMA channel (a SB Live card is installed on my machine). There is either no sound or it is very "ugly". So if anyone has a working 16bit SB16 sample and want to share it, it will be appreciated.

Gustav

You can forget this topic. I found an older PC with a true SB16 card installed and the 16bit samples play nicely on this machine. So it turned out that the SB Live's SB16 emulation just isn't perfect :(.
