Title: Can cmd.exe in XP have graphic mode?
Post by: jemin on October 16, 2005, 08:31:23 AM
Hi,

The graphic mode is supported by cmd.exe only in full screen.
That's incovenient a little.  :(

Instead, i use "dosbox" sometimes.

Dosbox is nice, but it's weak visual quality on animation ( old games  :P ).

Is it possible to enhance cmd.exe like "dosbox" or old "command.com" did ?

Regards,
Jemin

How can it be 'inconvenient', when running dos, you were in full screen mode all the time.  That is a normal expectation to be compatable with older dos programs, which do not expect the modern graphics modes of the newer graphics cards.

Thanks, P1.

For me, it's a little inconvinent to switch between windows and browse all filenames.

That's why I wonder is it possible to have a enhanced clone of cmd.exe. :)

I expect SVGA only. :8)

Regards.
