don't give me no shit about "quality of posts", etc, either - lol
I think that just about makes you the leader in both number of posts and posts per day. Hell, I've been around here since the beginning and I don't have anywhere near the number of posts you have. However, the number of posts that the original members have is not accurate since a while ago the board was hacked and about a year or two of posts were archived and don't appear in the count so Hutch might still have a few more than you, I certainly don't.

This will be a very good new awatar for you,dedndave!!! :U :U :U :U :U :U :U :U :U

Since when was the comparison limited to notions of quality, what happened to wit, charm, personality and modesty ? You have the quantity aspect covered. :bdg

Double negative? So do give you some shit?
Hmmm, this might take all night :bg

damn, i thought i covered all that stuff :lol

Quoting one Rick Santorum, "What a bunch of snobs"... :bg :toothy :eek
:bg
i can have big stars, too - lol
is this better ? :bg
So,...what does this really mean for the average MASM Forum member ???
Is this a battle for the hearts and minds ???
I can't help but wonder what the etymology of a triple "Neener" might be.
Clearly,...DAVE is regressing into a more child-like state,...
I think this issue deserves some serious analysis,...
Dave.. your avatar... ???
- You brown nosing, weak, 'pawn of the oppressor'.. :green2
:wink

I agree, and also why his new avatar looks like a hood ornament from a pimp's car :bg

i think that's the funniest thing you've ever said, Michael (http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/24.gif)
the pimps around here don't have hood ornaments because the "gang" kids steal all of them :8)
Woooow Nice Avatar Dave
I like it :U
well - that's one vote in the "for" column :bg
The criterion is still short of the mark, Michael has the runs on the board for hours logged on, I have the runs on the board for the number of topic started and Dave has just recently got his post count up. Now in relation to the bonnet ornament, if the kids in Arizona pinch them, how do pimps in Arizona show off their logos for "product" identification ?
it's not a hood ornament !!! - lol
ok - tomorrow, i'll make the crest a little bigger so the laurel wreath is behind it :P
probably look better, anyway
as for the pimps here - as most places in the US.....
it's all in the hat, man

Dave,
Just one concession, I identify my posts mainly by my logo as I have to scan this forum regularly as a normal admin task. Your recent usage of the image I use has made it a lot harder to quickly scan the forum, could you be tempted to use something else, a nice spiky cactus from your local area or even better still, another photo of your better half ?
done - it was all in fun - a temporary thing, anyways
what ? - you think i wanna look like you ? :lol
:bg
There is a difference between ambition and possibility, probably you better half would prefer you as you come. :bdg
...Everything I know about pimps,...I learned from the MASM Forum,...DAVE,...you seem to know almost everything,... :eek
By the way,...DAVE,...I think you should be a free-lance consultant,...you could be fabulously wealthy,...
Your public relations person could merely list stuff that you DON'T know anything about,...
...It would be an incredibly short list,...like:
- (1.) Why I don't have my own TV show ???
- (2.) Why those annoying drones are always circling overhead ???
- (3.) Why extraterrestrials haven't answered my inquiries ???
Baltro,
You forgot 4. The most important one.
4. Why does Dee let Dave sit in the garage typeing on the computer and mumble to himself about MASM Forum Domination? :)
that's interesting :red
her name is Zara
but - her last inititial was D.
many of her friends call her ZeeDee (or ZD)
i don't recall mentioning this before in here
so - umm - you know her ? - lol
Dave,
Just do a search through all of your posts and check whether or not you let that "D" slip!
Dave.
yah - search for "D" - lol
that would catch a few hits
but - i have never called her "D" or "Dee" - maybe "ZD" or "ZeeDee" :P
Dave,
Don't know her, actually forgot you had said Zara. Memory's kinda shot with somethings :) Just took it from Dee and Dave or Dedndave. Got lucky on the guess. LOL! I was just having fun teasing you. I guess Dave we are not as lucky as hutch to have a big house where we have to be out in the garage to work on computers. Although I think he spends as much time out there building and working on his house.
What was the last thing Hutch stuffed into his garage..... a sander, grinder, welder, air compressor, ford? :) I'm surprised the ford fit. :)
Everyone knows of course here in Iowa you don't put that in the garage.... you build a huge machine shed. Of course Hutch being an assembly language programmer, he's used to putting lots of stuff in small amounts of room!
Have a good one guys!
yah - i remember Iowa - very similar to Michigan, in many ways
i did a one-year contract up there for Rockwell-Collins
first thing that struck me as odd was all the TV commercials for hog feed and corn fertilizer - lol
that - and their driving - many of them think they are still sitting on the tractor
they go really slow - and perfectly straight in the lane :bg
Dave,
We live in Iowa City. If you take 380 to Iowa City from Cedar Rapids, its called Raceway 380. lots of speed, lots of idiots.
From memory fertilizer and hog feed commercials.... I would say you were here in the 80's. They still have the farm commercials, but not so much hog feed anymore. Progress!
You get an older person driving slow on the two lanes mostly. They stay off Raceway 380, they live longer.
Gotta get to the Chiropractor, later!
we went down to Iowa City for a concert - can't remember who it was - lol
we also went to Amana for dinner - loved that
that was 1979 - you were close
Dave,
I was in jr high in 79 :) However, watching TV then I remember all the hog feed commercials. We had hogs, they got fed by hand. We didn't get someone delivering that was for big hog farmers.
It has changed a lot here since 1979. We moved here 3 yrs ago, and 7 years ago to Cedar Rapids.
Rockwell has continued to grow in Cedar Rapids. They are probably the largest employer in Cedar Rapids.
Amana, has lost the maytag plant I believe. They are pretty small now. They struggle like most iowa towns. Finally with Corn prices riseing, farmers are making money. It has helped, although everything has tripled in price for cost of goods, so its all evened out. Most people are leaving small towns because there are no jobs here. Hence why we moved from western Iowa to Eastern Iowa. We also like to visit Chicago as the kids have gotten old enough to travel. 12, 5, 3.
i will always remember dinner in Amana
if i ever get up that way again, i will do it again
it was a German restaurant - made to appear as a WWII bomb shelter
they had good beer, of course - and piano - everyone was singing along to old songs while we ate - lol
edelweiss, edelweiss :boohoo:
Just had a festival at Amana. We went to Mount Vernon to look at chalk drawings. They do this several times a year, and throughout the summer around here. If we can get a baby sitter, me and the wife may go have some wine, and beer.
there in Cedar Rapids, the SW quarter of town was Bohemian
they had great butchers - and cheese, bread, etc
i think i gained 30 pounds living there
we ate like kings - steak 5 times a week - lol
It got flooded 2008.
They are rebuilding it. One of the food places had to close the meat market, because it ruined their meat grinder smoker equipment which was from the early 1900's. Someone else I think took over the shop.
It's still not the same.... They are just building the Cedar Rapids Library. It will take many many years to recover if they ever do fully.
thegazette.com/ (http://thegazette.com/)
Look up the czech village and they will have articles on how they are doing.
that's a shame - i loved that place
they used to have a park with a little band stand where they would play polka music
(and other Bavarian "umpah" music)
reading through some of the articles...
Polehna's Meat Market - that's where we used to buy our meats - it was great
the Czech people that owned it would always say "here - try this !"
i tried a lot of stuff that i probably would not have, otherwise - lol
they still have the band shelter I think. Polehna's Meat Market I believe was taken over by a new owner. I think they are doing okay. They moved the museum. So lots of changes, but when the water was reaching the bottom of the interstate downtown 30 feet above the river, what do you expect. I have photo's someplace I'll have to post.
Anyway, nice to have you here dave, dont worry about "quality" posting or something, just keep posting. :green
hmmmm... THAT avatar's dissapeared - Good on Yah, Mate!! :P
Farabi,
I think you don't have tv and want Dave to post to keep you entertained while your computer is doing a compile :)
