Begs the question who gets to decide what software is malicious and is there any choice still available to the user. Kind of reminds me of the kill-switch Apple puts in its devices or the DRM "update" Sony uploaded to every PS3 without asking. At some point the security software actually becomes the threat.
I do agree that it could become problematic in just Who or what is controlling the systems and to what extent. Privacy might become the main issue,as it always is for the private user of a computer system.
