I think we use yabb here... is this the most secure free forum software available?  i dont want to get hacked  :(  thanks  :wink

This forum software is from Simple Machines and the link is at the bottom of the page. It has been very reliable so far.

O! i didn't realize simple machines was free!  Hey thanks guys!  One more question though... what hash algorithm does simple  machines use?  Is it MD5?  We really need a SLOWER hashing algorithm... cain and abel can crack these passwords too fast :( and rainbow tables are always a danger.

It really doesn't matter, because if someone has gained access to the hashes themselves, they could just as easily give themselves admin priveleges...

i want to make a website devoted to computer security :U...  [deleted] Forum rules.

yabb is NOT secure!  :U  the only forum system less secure than yabb is phpbb. Simple Machines is good for now, only one exploit out that I know of and its not that severe.
