Title: Link error(not the usual path problems)
Post by: pekdal on June 06, 2005, 01:26:28 PM
I downloaded AoA(I have so far printed out 600 pages)... and HLA with MASM32 and installed the software.
When I tried the first HelloWorld program I got a strange message from Link.Exe(assembling went OK).
(I try to translate it from Swedish...): "The program or DLL-file  C:\hla\mspdb50.dll is not a valid Windows-memory image. Check this against the installation disk".  This is the first thing Link is doing, even if I run it standalone from the commandline by just typing "link".
The Masm and linker files resides in both the hla and the Masm32 directory.
Could any one figure this problem out so I can continue printing(happily)...?
Thanks
pelle

Sounds to me like your "mspdb50.dll" file is corrupt.
