I have been using these on Windows Vista and now on Windows 7 for several years and they work great.
If you have 64-bit Windows make sure to install the "x64 Components" after the codecs are installed.
Interesting,...thanks for the recommendation, Greg.
So,...give us a clue,...how do you use them ??? As a Windows Media Player Plug-In ???
the download link sent me to Google Ads... so I promply closed the window :green2
hi,
are there noticeable difference bettween these codecs and the ones coming with MPCH, VLC player, ...? e.g. better quality?
regards, qWord
The main reason I use them is that they work with Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player. VLC is good but I have had problems with HD video on it. Maybe the new VLC version 2 is better. The last time I used MPC-HC (not recently) I wasn't happy with it. I mostly use .MKV (Matroska) files. Although now that I have a tablet I have been using some H.264 .MP4 files for use on it.
I agree they are excellent :U they work great on win7 64 bit with wmp and wmc
Just a note about VLC 2.0, the new version is better, it handled all the HD videos I tried perfectly.
