Yeah, that's the conservatives for you. Its a shame but it makes little news here, like the conservatives in the rest of the world they take the view "when I want your opinion I'll give it to you."

whatever the status is in Canada, i am sure it is worse here in the US
for example, gw bush held to the belief that the global warming issue was a myth
hence, nothing was done about it during his administration
whether he believed his own words or not - the result is the same

i am sure the white house carpets are extremely lumpy because of all the stuff swept under them   :P

The main win with the link was that it showed that governments DO fiddle the results to get said what they want. We certainly have it here, seems the US, UK and much of Europe have it as well.

As they told us here a few years ago, "It'll never raYne in AustraYlia agaYne" or the version of the scam that you guys get in the northern hemisphere with Al Gore's "Children will never see another snowflake". Then there was that photo of the polar bear that could not swim and was trapped on an iceblock floating out to sea. I have a BBC documentary that shows a polar bear swimming 30 miles in the open sea hunting walrus so Al Gore must have searched far and wide to find one that could not swim.  :P
