Title: IDA PRO
Post by: dinker99 on February 06, 2012, 08:36:01 PM
Hi all,

I stumbled upon this board while trying to work out why IDA would not accept a RAX operand in it`s PATCH function. Am I alone in wanting a reversing section to the board?

Hi dinker99,

Reversing is prohibited here. You can check the forum rules :

You're definitely in the minority. For reasons that should be obvious, it would create a lot of undesirable questions and traffic.

Wouldn't that be something that IDA's support staff could address? They have a user forum too. You bought the software right? If you stole it, review point one again.

No, over time there have been a procession of imbeciles who cannot read the rules who want a cracking section. Lets no beat around the bush here, these requests have nothing to do with reverse engineering, a legitimate task for those unfortunate enough to have to reconstruct old crap like COBOL and FORTRAN into modern languages, requests of this type are for people too PHUKING lazy to learn how to write software who want to crack someone elses work.

Forget it in here.
