Title: Newbie here. Is www.masm32.com up?
Post by: dirigo on May 30, 2005, 11:45:04 PM
Howdie!  Newbie here to Assembly programming.

I've been trying to connect to www.masm32.com and have had no success thus far.  I'm getting timeout errors.  Is there another site where I might download a version of masm32 that would be compatible with the freely offered IDEs on this forum?  Or are most of the newer versions of masm32 compatible with these offerings anyway?

Thanks in advance,

dirigo

HuMaX,

I don't know because the server is in England and they are not awake at this time of day. I have run the site for about 5 years and I have no intention of closing it. I own the domain name so if worst comes to worst, I will put the site at another location. Its probably just another server issue.

Post script on the last post, the server is back up so it saved me the international call to England.

Good Morning Hutch.

I was able to d/l MASM from www.masm32.com a little while ago (before checking this forum this morning).  It went well.  I'll take a look at this forum's web site.  I had not previously;  I simply clicked on the URL that was in your signature block.

Looking forward to learning as much as I can on my own and, of course, asking questions here to clarify and verify I'm proceeding in the right direction ... or, perhaps, to get me out of a pickle that I know I'll some how  manage to get in!   :(   I'm sure that'll happen a few times along the path of learning.

Take care and again ... Thanks

dirigo,

You will find this is fun stuff to play with and when you master it, you get very good results. make sure yur installation of MASM32 installs correctly and once you have played with it for a while, get the service pack 2 from the forum web site as it has some later macros and examples.
