Title: interesting lecture on tv about computer seeing
Post by: daydreamer on November 26, 2011, 01:45:01 PM
makes me tempted to try out write some myself
sorry it was in swedish so I can't provide link to some youtube clip
interesting, when you draw in 3d you transform for example a rectangle to a quad that is angled etc in 3d
in computerseeing you do the opposite, you for example take signs and transforms them to be rotated forwards you
there also was a similar system humans have:
seeing->event->-feedback to what you see in next frame
they also talked about humans process in a tree what they see, could BSP or other knowledge work to speed up things here?

And why people thought robots were going to take over the world.. I'll never know  :bg

There's a good possibility that humans have no idea what they're looking at, so to speak, and then they transfer what they think is the correct method onto a computer.
It's like the blind leading the blind, but for now it sort of works, so it must be right.  :wink
