Sometimes it is just plain stupid when people get attacked. In Northern California when el-nino or La Ninya is kicking up,the waters warm up in the nortern California coast..The seals come up north for the warmer water and plentiful food, and the Sharks(usually Great whites) follow the seals. That is the time "Most" Californians know there is danger,but some hit the surf anyway.

sharks, gators, crocks - not to mention huricanes
