Hi,
I am a newbie and has been trying to install masm32 but it is giving me an error of ordinal 201 not found in DLL
WINIPOOL.DRV. i know it has been discussed before as it is an DEP. i turned the DEP off but still i get this error.
However when i keep on clicking ok on the small error window which pops up, then installation continues and in the end it says installation success.
I want to confirm that does it get installed successfully despite the error?

Have a good look at the installation guide at www.masm32.com and make sure the version you are trying to install is the current one from the same site. Roughly it sounds like you have permission errors that are interfering with the installation.
Yes sir, http://www.masm32.com/masmdl.htm from where i downloaded it. I am quite shocked that no on else has faced this problem. I must have tried for not less than 15 times with DEP on-of and various different settings and i am the administrator.
Is a relatively common problem for mis-configured computers, something is obstructing disk read / writes. It can be your profile settings, your AV scanner settings or depending on your OS version other security factors.
