Title: experiences with Google Chrome
Post by: shankle on September 09, 2011, 04:29:57 PM
In my efforts to stop this annoying pop up called FreebieJeebies, ESET told me to install Chrome to see if
that stopped the pop ups. Well I found Google Chrome so amateurish and invasive that I uninstalled it.
That's what I thought. Well you can not unistalled the installer and if you have a two way firewall like I
do, it pops up in your face a lot.
Not to worry. Before I installed this mess I backed up. :bg That got rid of the uninstallable google installer.
Never again for me. You make your own decision. I'm just passing this along for what it's worth.

To stop the pop up probably means the hassle of reinstalling Windows 7. Personally I think it has something
to do with K-Meleon but I'm guessing.

Hi shankle,

You can try the portable version of Google Chrome :

http://portableapps.com

No any uninstallation problem with the portable browser.

After using Firefox for years, Google Chrome is now my favorite browser.

Just curious shankle, how many times have you had to re-install your OS thus far? :bg
