It is finally coming to light just how corrupt the Fox News empire and its King truly are. I tried to watch some of the UK hearings but because of Murdock's heavy Aussie accent I was at times unable to understand what it was he was saying. This phone-hacking scandal couldn't happen to a nicer guy, NOT!!
I hope he and his corporate empire crumbles!!

Did you see his hand gestures on the table, I lost count how many times he hit the table.
Yes I did zemtex. The man and his corporation are in trouble and he will soon have to face the music here in the States. If you watch Fox News at all they are continuing to down play this disgusting mess as if it were of no importance.
"The scandal eventually garnered attention in the United States, where News Corporation is headquartered and operates a multitude of media outlets. On 14 July the Federal Bureau of Investigation launched its own investigation into News Corporation, focusing on claims that its newspapers had violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and accessed voicemails of victims of the 9/11 attacks. On 15 July, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced that the Department of Justice had also opened an investigation into the company."

I am not surprised that this is happening. ::)
He is a smug bugger isn't he? :bg
:bg
Bill,
Now you know why we were glad to get rid of him when he became a US citizen.

I just post the links,I could never make this stuff up... :red
My opinion: The true scumbags are the people buying the rags that Murdoch and others sell. Every purchase is an enticement to dig more dirt at any price. Like a person who complains about the cruelty to animals, while eating their steak dinners.
One does wonder though, Murdock has so many politicians in his back pocket here in the States (mostly GOP) that he could probably get away with murder.
So I read that he got a pie in his face in parliament. :bg
the Brits will seize any opportunity to pie a yank or aussie, especially in parliment
rupert could be classified as both - lol
he should have been smart enough to wear a bib
Jay Leno's take on it is hilarious

Yep, isn't it amazing what money can buy, that is to say a good looking women 40 years younger, she 40 Murdock 80. I just can't figure out what a 40 year old woman does with an 80 year old man.
By the way Dave we here in northwest PA hit 100 degrees today with over 50% humidity. Now that is a very rare occurrence to say the least!
that sounds very uncomfortable, Bill
it is hot here, at the moment - 97 right now - it will be over 100 before long
but, lately, we have been having a reasonably mild summer
dust storms help to keep the temperature down - lol
Half your luck, it won't stop raining here. Recently we had some dimwit from the global warming camp that said it would never rain in Australia again. Queensland floods washed that stupidity away very quickly.
Shows you how stupid that lot are... I wonder what their education levels are :tdown
Lot's of heat means lots of water vapour, when means.....wait for it..... rain. :bdg
While the rest of the USA cooks, we are having a cooler and wetter than normal summer in the northwest.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if Murdock's whole empire crashed.
:bg
> It wouldn't hurt my feelings if Murdock's whole empire crashed.
YEAH ! :U
Murdoch has way to much influence on US politics. Perfect example of what big money can buy. :tdown
