Title: Venting
Post by: Magnum on March 15, 2011, 04:53:45 AM
My brother, from California, visited my mom last week.

He is not happy that "eye" chose not to move in with my mom who has Alzheimers.

My mother is a heavy smoker.

I told him my reasons and feel that they are good.

Thanks 4 listening.

Andy

Sounds familiar. Tell him he's free to make his own choice to move in with her, but I'm sure it would be hugely inconvenient for him to make any commitment in this regard.

Andy,

Your life is your own, it is not the place of anyone else to tell you how to live it, especially if they are not willing to do the same themselves. I agree with Clive here, suggest that he take your place then listen to the excuses.

This is what my brother said, "I have a family and a life."

Like I don't.

(I told him that he was a "part time Christian.")

You are right.

My mother knows I am doing the best for her.

Andy,
I'd have done exactly the same thing you did.  :eek
...And, by the way,...I'm from California myself. We're all like that,...obnoxious, arrogant, controlling, oblivious to reality,...  :bg
Well, you get the idea.
