Title: Opera and Slax
Post by: Magnum on March 09, 2011, 12:04:33 PM
Opera has pretty much become my primary web browser.

Sometimes it doesn't "act right" at certain sites, but it's a pretty good browser.

I have been trying for quite a while to get an O.S. that would work on a USB stick, and Slax fits the
bill nicely.

I find it pretty neat that, hardware considerations in mind, I can be productive on any computer that has a USB port and which has the capability of booting from a stick.  :thumbu

Now, I am trying to figure out how to save files to the the USB stick using a Slax File Manager addon.

magnum try this :8)
http://www.linuxliveusb.com/

it allows you to boot virtually any linux distro from a usb stick and there is a persistance option that'll allow you to save files and install software. theres also a built-in virtualization feature that lets you run your linux usb inside windows without a reboot
