Title: XP Pro doesn't detect camera
Post by: Magnum on March 03, 2011, 10:14:28 PM
I got a new cell phone with a camera.

On one computer it says it can't detect the camera.

I tried Media Player and PC Studio with no luck.

I tried both the USB ports on the front and on the back of the computer.

Computer is an HP Pavilion XL 848.

I tried autofix too.

Thanks.

I don't think you can connect your cell phone and have the computer detect it like a normal camera...  BUT you should be able to set up your cell for "Mass Storage" and view your cell files in explorer (never tested)... or you can save your pictures to memory card and then view them in explorer or any image software... you just need to buy a card reader... I bought a many in one for about 7 bucks... put your card in it, then plug the reader in a usb port... Or, just thought of it... you can put the card in your printer (if it has a card reader) and view em that way I think

It worked fine on my home computer and I did not have a memory card.

Maybe it's the age of this computer.  :U
