Running Vista, K-meleon beta 1.6, Ccleaner v 3.03.1366.
When I was running the previous version of Ccleaner it ran at startup in about 3+ seconds.
When I updated Ccleaner to the latest version it would take anywhere from 33+ to 90 seconds
to complete. Totally unacceptable.
As a test I put this same version of Ccleaner on wiffies puter running Windows xp pro and (Don't
throw anything at me) IE. It ran fine and closed at start up in about 3 seconds.
Ccleaner will tell you to run Ccleaner at shutdown and NOT startup. Well I don't want to
run it that way. Why? I have a two way firewall and see 1st hand how much garbage goes
of a puter without anyones knowledge. Thought running Ccleaner at startup might slow
some of that down a tad.
IMHO there is a clash between K-meleon and Ccleaner. They are doing something with Firefox
at CCleaner in relation to K-meleon. Hate to see Ccleaner go bad like so many other programs.
They just can't seem to leave things that work alone......... :(
