I did not have all the materials but tried it with just foil wrapped around my phone.
Noting showed on my phone.
Will investigate further.

Sounds like a complex alternative to a working On-Off switch.
Also instead of two pieces of foil you would be better off with
one larger piece folded in half.

The foil saves wear and tear on the buttons
and it should survive an EMP pulse, even if I don't. :U
