Title: The vastness of Resource Editors
Post by: zemtex on September 11, 2010, 07:23:51 PM
Hello.

I have been going back and forth looking for a good resource editor, I think i've tried at least 10 different editors, some of them were stand-alone applications, some of them were integrated into coding editors.

My main problem with the editors that i've tried is that some of them is buggy, some of them is lacking and others have what they lack and opposite. It's a circular problem, I can't seem to find an editor that gives complete satisfaction.

Perhaps this is the consequences of living in a world of people with different ideas and expertise  :bdg

Can anyone guide me to the best choice, it doesnt have to be perfect, but it should be a best-choice resource editor. Preferably freeware.

Ketil Olsen's stand alone resource editor is a good tool and easy to use. You have to learn how it works and what it outputs but it works well with MASM.

Yes, I had an earlier version of his editor, there is a newer one available. perhaps he have solved some bugs. I think it will be my best bet to go for this one.
