Title: Searching for vddmsg.asm
Post by: Gustav on April 24, 2005, 12:16:26 PM

Hi,

this file I'm looking for is pretty old, it was part of the VDD VGA source of Win30/Win31 DDK and contains some messages. Possibly someone still have this file available and would send it to me?

Recently, I was surprised to learn there are a lot of users out there still using WIN31.  When you think about it, if it does everything you need to do then why change?  Personally, I think WIN31 beats WINXP any day of the week for ease of use coupled with none of the negatives we are forced to live with in WINXP (such as being treated like a child with all those stupid balloons.  I wish WIN31 had large disk support, though.

Doesn't WinXP run faster when multitasking because of its superior scheduling logic?

Aero,
Of course, but so what?  As I always say, what difference does it make where you get the answer in picoseconds or namoseconds as long as it is correct?  :lol

Remember that 3.1 and '95 are not abandonware...  I don't think you were referring to them, though.
